Zoom Consultations
I offer 60 minute and 90 minute zoom consultations for TMB trek planning or advice for trekkers just about to depart.
These are particularly useful for trekkers hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc independently. You can email me your proposed planned itinerary and I will offer advice and tips on route decisions and answer any questions that you have. If you just want to chat and find out about the trail book a 60 minute zoom call.
For 90 minute consultations I will share my screen with you during the zoom and together we will talk through your itinerary day by day on an interactive TMB trail map discussing subjects such as exit points, variant trail options, public transport options, water stops, lunch stops, unmissable view points etc. Other subjects could be how to book the refuges, what to take, weather, maps, getting to Chamonix, trekking solo, phone signal etc. Talking through the trail virtually takes around an hour and then we have 30 minutes to help with your itinerary – which refuges would be better for your group size or preferences or what sections to prioritise, also sections you can easily miss in the case of tiredness or mild injury.
For bespoke planning finding available beds in refuges for 2026 only you can book my personalised service where I will endeavour to find a route for you for 2026. Please note this service is only available ONCE ALL THE REFUGES HAVE OPENED – so generally from the end of November. You can book this service below for a fee of €400. If I cannot find a route around for you, I will give you a refund – however it is vital you can be responsive on email from the time you book the service as if there is a significant delay from me finding a route for you, the beds will have sold. When you have paid for this service please email me the following information – size of group / date range (the more flexible the better) / experience / time zone.
I find talking through the trek one on one really helps people feel much more at ease in their planning stage as it is tricky to plan it all online when you’ve never been here. Don’t worry you can ask me anything – as long as it’s about the Tour du Mont Blanc! You can read a few of my testimonials below.
Zoom consultations are for a maximum of 1 hour with an upfront fee of €150.00 or for a maximum of 1.5 hours for €200.00. This fee includes an initial email to set up the zoom call, the zoom session and a follow up email including a link to replay the zoom audio and video.

We learned of the Tour du Mont Blanc a bit late in the season and there are so many details necessary to planning your hike that we were at a loss. Fortunately, we found Mags and booked a consultation. She helped us plan our trip and tailor it to our time constraints (we only have 5 days and she helped us pick out the best and most convenient stages), abilities, and personal comfort levels. PLEASE NOTE: Any advice given during a zoom consultation should be taken as just one source. You should also read up on the trail in guidebooks and online to have a rounded in-depth knowledge of the TMB trail before setting off. Before embarking and during your trek it is wise to check weather and trail conditions with the High Mountain Office in Chamonix and speak to refuge wardens and fellow trekkers about incoming weather or trail conditions.
